Examples of difficulties with Fine Motor Skills:
- Struggles with handwriting
- Weak grasp, frequently dropping things
- Has difficulty with managing buttons, snaps, zippers, fasteners
- Struggles with turning pages in books
- Unable to remove and/or put on clothing independently
- Resists coloring activities with crayons and markers
- Has difficulty with learning how to hold and use a spoon or fork
- Unable to manage shapes, blocks, puzzle pieces
- Uses whole hand rather than using index finger and thumb to pick up small objects or pieces of food
