How our brain processes what we feel on our skin. Symptoms

  • Hypersensitive – also called Tactile Defensive – avoid touching textures like paint, glue, play dough, food, sand, etc; bothered by tags on clothes; fearful of vibrating toys; avoids hugs and kisses from family; avoids or bothered by walking barefoot in the grass.
  • Hyposensitive – loves squeezing play dough / clay, hammering toys with a lot of force, not notice when hands / face are messy, not seem to feel pain, always holding things in hand(s).
