Brickyard Building Toys Amazon

Awesome preschool building blocks STEM toys for kids! Great way to incorporate using a tool to play and manipulate toys. Also, really works on using two hands to play and strengthen those bilateral coordination skills for brain development!

Warmies: Microwavable Lavender Scented Stuffed Animals on Amazon

I just recently found these! You can place these in the microwave, and it provides some gentle heat for soothing comfort for kids. The one I saw was also slightly weighted due to the filling inside. I’m not sure if this one is weighted, but I would guess that it is too! It is filled with specially treated millet grains and dried lavender flower.

Spike the Fine Motor Hedgehog

Amazon Item: Spike the Fine Motor Hedgehog. This toy is great for preschool aged kids! Build fine motor skills by placing the pegs in the holes of the hedgehog. Very cute and fun also! Have them place the pegs into the holes, talk about the colors, and remove the pegs from the hedgehog to clean up!

Jell-O Edible Slime on Amazon

So easy to make. . . just add water and stir! Great tactile sensory play item for kids, and if they happen to eat some, it’s ok!

Clack Game on Amazon

This game is great for kids, especially 4-5 year olds! To work on cognitive, fine motor, visual motor, and visual scanning skills!

Paper Mate Triangular Shaped Mechanical Pencils

I found these pencils recently, and they are awesome! Triangular shaped to assist with adaptive grasp for handwriting. No need for additional grips to add on to the pencils. They also have a thicker lead so they don’t break as easily as other mechanical pencil leads!

ATNR Part 1 – Episode 86

On this episode, I begin discussion about the ATNR (Asymmetrical Tonic Neck Reflex). I will talk about what it looks like, when it should integrate, and what it might look like if it doesn’t integrate in preschool and school aged kids.
